The soil temperature in most parts of Lancaster county is now up to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are a farmer, that means it’s planting time. Those seedlings can go in the ground. You can plant your leeks, onions, chard, and turnips, to name a few. The winter garden is winding down and Spring is here.
It also means that it’s time for your local farmer’s markets to get in gear. We are excitedly updating our calendar and the website. If you hadn’t heard, the first day of the 2016 market season is Sunday, May 15th. It coincides with the Lancaster Open Streets event. We hope to see you there!
